I just picked this game up over the weekend due to the PSN sale on the game. I started career mode, and it seems no matter what, the first guy you fight in the smaller promotion is always better. Their stamina seems to go back up quite a ways at the end of each round, while the character you have seems to deplete their stamina pretty quickly.
How do I finish the first fight without floundering around? I was trying to elbow, but my guy was only punching. That is how I tried to finish the fight earlier while playing. It literally does depend on the difficulty you choose. You can knock people out in two or three hooks on easy difficulty in career mode until you're GOAT.
